Welcome

Welcome to our site.  I would like for the site to be 90% about French beaded flowers, but I cannot build a site on beads without adding articles about other types of beading, such as beadweaving, beading on looms, peyote work and others.

I do hope you understand and that you enjoy your visit.

French Beaded Flowers I: A Guide for Beginners by Helen McCall

French Beaded Flowers I: A Guide for Beginners

Featuring Miniature and Small Arrangements.

Originally published in 1993, this small book has had a second and third printing in 2000 and 2002.

It has a total of 14 projects that include: Thistle, Mini Marigold, Iris, Forget-me-not, Poppy, African Violet, Baby’s Breath, Baby’s Tears, Mini Calla Lily, Crocus, Lily of the Valley, Daisy, Spring Beauty, Miniature Tea Rose.  Below is a snapshot of the back cover of the book with these projects.

What I love about it the most is the clear and concise instruction for the basic french beaded flower techniques.

From the book I’ve done a Crocus arrangement, a Daisy one and several Tea Roses.   Unfortunately I didn’t photograph the crocus or the daisy, but I did take shots of the tea roses.

You can see a larger version in our French Beaded Flower Project Gallery.
